Job Description:
Seeking experienced, professional, licensed Master
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for entire vessel, crew, and client personnel. Responsible to vessel's office manager for ensuring all applicable legal rules and conventions under his control are strictly observed. Responsible for all bridge aspects of the ISM manual.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Familiar with all aspects of navigation
• Ensure the safety of the ship and her crew
• Keep detailed bridge and deck logs noting all failures, maintenance and repair done to the vessel
• Act as liaison between ship's crew and the office as well as between the ship's crew and the client
PROFILE
• Master 500 Ton GL/INL/RIV Certification or greater
• Experience in research or vessel support industry
• Experience in Great Lakes, including pilot rules and regulations
• STCW 95 Certification
• Results-oriented, self-starter with a high level of initiative
• Strong ability to organize and communicate with others
• Strong work ethics, values and principles with safety the first priority
